On the rare occasion that orders are affected by extreme weather, should your item(s) arrive in anything less than perfect condition, email usacustomerservice@hotelchocolat.com. IMPORTANT SHIPPING INFORMATION

 

1PM EST DAILY CUT-OFF TIME

Orders placed before 1PM EST will be processed for shipping on the same business day. Some exceptions apply depending on Shipping Days (see below).

 

GENERAL SHIPPING POLICY

We work hard to ensure that all our chocolate is delivered in perfect condition. During order processing, we monitor temperature and transit time to ensure that all packages arrive un-melted.

FedEx® is our preferred shipping vendor and delivery days and transit times are set per their guidelines. Our primary shipping days are Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday. To protect the quality of your chocolate, we may hold your package for shipping until the following Monday to ensure minimal time in transit under these circumstances:

  • The package will not arrive by Friday. *Select residential locations may qualify for Ground Saturday delivery.
  • The weather requires cooling materials. Our cooling materials will last for up to two days and therefore cannot accommodate weekend shipping.

 

WARM WEATHER SHIPPING POLICY

To reduce the risk of melted chocolate on orders shipping to destinations with warm weather or longer transit times, we offer 2-Day Shipping or Overnight Shipping. Ground shipping availability varies throughout the year based on the temperatures and time in transit. All shipping boxes will include cooling materials where needed. Our ice gel packs are non-toxic.

SHIPPING DAYS

Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday are our primary shipping days. Choose an appropriate day for your order to leave our warehouse based on the table below. Some orders may be able to ship on Thursday or Friday depending on the temperature at destination and the selected ship method. Orders subject to warm weather shipping or transit time restrictions may require packages to be held for shipping until the following Monday.

SHIPPING METHODS

Packages shipped via Ground shipping are generally in transit for 1 to 5 business days based upon the destination and carrier volume. In select residential locations, packages shipped Ground may deliver on Saturday or Sunday. If Ground shipping isn’t available at check-out, this is because the temperatures or time in transit could cause melting or spoilage.

Packages shipped via 2 Day or Overnight shipping deliver Monday through Friday only. Please refer to the Express shipping charts below for more information on when your package should arrive. If your order needs to arrive by a specific date we encourage you to choose an Express shipping method.

DELIVERY TIMES FOR BUSINESSES & RESIDENCES

Deliveries are made to residential locations Monday through Friday between 9am-8pm and commercial locations Monday through Friday between 9am -5pm. Select residential locations may qualify for Ground Saturday or Sunday delivery. Express 2-Day and Standard Overnight deliver on weekdays only.
